We are mindful that for decades, the planet has undergone a number of climatic changes, largely due to the consumption of fossil fuels, with Uganda alone emitting over 49 million metric tons of greenhouse gases. This has led to an increase in global temperature by an average of 1.3 degrees Centigrade over the past 60 years.
